URGENT - Do YOU have any contacts or services (or outside the box thinking) for an expedited expired child's passport for a U.S. citizen??

HELP!!!  Does anyone have any contacts or services (or outside the box thinking) to get an expedited expired child's passport for a U.S. citizen like NOW???  Friends I'm Pet Sitting for are U.S. citizens living in CR and they assumed (like many) that their son's passport expired in 10 years (like ours) - not the 5 years for kids passports and he turned 5 about 2 months ago and they're supposed to be on the American Airlines flight Fri. at around 1pm and of course this country is shut down!!!

We've been calling these Emergency Passport Expediting services but all say they HAVE to go to a passport office (say WHAT?? WHY would someone use this type of service if they could do it themselves???).

INCENTIVE:  They own http://VillaManuel.com - a 3-bedroom villa in Manuel Antonio & if someone can take care of this tomorrow/Fri. they'll give them a week at the villa (based on availability [which is pretty wide open since we know tourism is down])!!! (and maybe I can get them to throw in a massage or 2 at their spa on the property as they own Spa Uno [maybe more if it can be done so they can be on the 1:30pm flight tomorrow/Friday]).  If someone is helping only with the connection (to get them out Fri. or Sat.), I'm sure I can get them to give you something as well.
