Any BCR - Banco de Costa Rica

HOW MUCH
ACTIVE - 189,700-colones.  IN-ACTIVE - 94,850-colones

Checks from Banco Nacional and Banco Credito Agricola de Cartago will be verified and cleared immediately online.
You can also pay/transfer online (I haven't found that information yet).

I WON'T BE IN COSTA RICA BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2013 - HOW CAN I GET IT PAID?
Not living in Costa Rica or near a BCR?  ANYONE can go in and pay this for you (or pay it online if you can get into that account).  All they need is your S.A. number.

(IF someone is REALLY in a bind and needs help to get this paid and can get money to me [via one of my U.S. bank accounts or Paypal], I can do it for you - for a "Donation" PLUS whatever charges are incurred to get the money to me [atm fees on both ends and conversion fees] and a taxi for me to get to the bankE-mail me at LivingLifeInCostaRica@gmail.com
or call me at my U.S. # - 1-941-312-7569  -  or Skype:  VallartaVicki)

LATE FEES
Every payment that comes in starting February 1, 2013 (or is late from last year) accrues a LATE FEE of:  Active - 54-colones per day.  IN-Active - 27-colones per day.

INFORMATION YOU NEED TO PAY IT
Just your Corporate ID number.

DIDN'T PAY YOUR CORPORATE TAX FROM LAST YEAR??
(which took effect April 1, 2012):
You MUST pay for the 2 periods WITH INTEREST and you can NOT make partial payments.
(did you not pay the full amount last year since it was not for a full year?)

NOTE ON NOT PAYING YOUR CORPORATE TAX:
"If you do not pay it, the person who has Power of Attorney over the corporation is responsible. If the corporation is empty (no car, no real estate owned), the government will dissolve the corporation in 3 years. But the POA is still liable. So if the POA owns assets in Costa Rica, they can eventually confiscate those until the taxes are paid (plus fines)."

HOW'S COLLECTION COMING FOR THIS NEW TAX?:
According to the Banco Central, as of December 31, 2012 - 220,414 companies had paid this new tax for 2012.
(I'm curious how MANY corporations are registered in Costa Rica [hence how many didn't pay it])
