SKYPE - Are you have problems sending SMS•Texts?

Are you have problems sending Texts on SKYPE now?  It seems like Skype is now REQUIRING us to give them a cell number to Verify our Account - BUT - with the latest version of Skype (at least for Mac that I know of now) - it does NOT seem to work - at least not for me in Costa Rica and from what I'm reading - for many people in the U.S. also.

So I went onto -  community.skype.com/t5/English/ct-p/English  and asked around and found a SOLUTION!!!

Download the OLD Version 5.8 for Mac

I'd FIRST DELETE the current Skype on my computer AND the Alias that was on my Doc and I'd empty my Trash. 

Then I went to:  Mac.oldapps.com/skype.php?old_skype=1230?download  (a GREAT SITE to keep to get old apps - though note SOMETIMES when you do this, you MIGHT NOT be able to do all the tricks you want to do) and I DOWNLOAD IT.

Once you install it - open the "Preferences" (for ME it was under the "Skype" in the top left corner) and UN-check "Update Skype Automatically".

Remember to make an "Alias" of it to put in your Doc!
