WARNING!!! VISA RUN due mid/late March???? READ THIS!!!

Are you due for a Visa Run around the middle/end of March??
Would you like to be standing in the BLAZING HEAT for 3-5+ hours at the border crossing?
I didn't think so!!

WARNING!!

The 2 WORSE•LONGEST times for HORRIFIC (NOT an exaggerated word in this case!) lines at the Costa Rica - Nicaragua border crossing are:
Christmas • New Years
and
Easter • Samana Santa
as MUCH of Latin America shuts down for those periods and MANY MANY MANY Nicaraguans take that opportunity to return home to their Mother Land/family!

Samana Santa is early this year (Easter DAY is March 31 [though I don't find many Latin's celebrating that like they do with Maundy/Holy Thursday and Good Friday] - and the crowd masses should start crossing AROUND March 22 and they will be returning March 30 and 31 - so best to COMPLETE ALL border crossings BY then to be safe and avoid waiting 3-5+ hour waits at the border!!

UPDATE:
For the first time ever, the borders into Nicaragua will be open 24 HOURS A DAY on
Saturday and Sunday - March 23 and 24
Wednesday March 27 THROUGHOUT the night till Thursday March 28 at 6pm

They have not announced yet but I'll bet they'll also do it Saturday and Sunday March 30 and 31 (since those 2 days will be the WORST/HIGHEST TRAFFIC days!!)
