HOW TICO's MAKE COFFEE in COSTA RICA
When I had my guest house - as well as the standard Mr Coffee machine I had these various gizmo ways to make coffee - all of which were UNfamiliar to me before I moved to Costa Rica (in all fairness, I'm not a coffee drinker [it's scary to imagine Ms Naturally Wired here on coffee!!]):
This is the typical many British/Europeans heat water - with a
ELECTRIC HOT WATER KETTLE!

It heats water SOOO FAST (I found it to come to a boil in around 3-4 minutes - youtu.be/R2XY1aDtqe4. Hence it saves $ on your electricity bill and helps Mother Earth!!). This inexpensive 1 liter one runs under $20 usually and can be found everywhere from WalMart to Amazon.com.

With this method it's EASY to IMPROVISE!!!
Just get a Wire Clothes Hanger and form it to hold a VERY CLEAN Cotton Sock and a Coffee Mug and follow instructions in the videos above!!
