INS Auctioning Off Used “Good” Vehicles in Costa Rica - Land Cruiser • Prado • Corolla • Yaris

If you are planning to a buy a used car, take note that the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS) – national insurance company – is auctioning off some of its used cars.

According to the INS, on the block
Wednesday - March 12 at 10am
are 6 Toyota brand cars, that were part of the institution’s fleet, replaced with newer vehicles.

According to the INS circular, the vehicles are: a
2000 Toyota Land Cruiser
2000 Toyota Prado
2003 Toyota Corolla
2003 Toyota Yaris (3)

The INS says that all the vehicles are in good working order and start, except for the Prado that a onboard computer problem.

Interested parties may inspect the vehicles, up to Tuesday, at the INS Curridabat office. The auction will be at the INS head office in Barrio Amón.

(might having EXPENSIVE cars like this in the first place [many of these above run between $55,000-$80,000 and get bad gas mileage!!  But they look good if you're driving behind them eh??], have been a big contributor towards Costa Rica's economic woo's!  I'm SHOCKED at this!!!  I'm curious what the new ones they bought were?  Any local journalist looking into this?? [sadly - how many locals would be enraged and try to do anything about it . . .]
