The Community Action Alliance of San Ramon's 

2nd Annual USED BOOK SALE FUNDRAISER

WHEN:  Saturday - April 28 - 9am-5pm

WHERE:  San Ramon Museum / Museo Regional de San Ramon

DONATIONS OF BOOKS ARE NEEDED NOW!!

English and Spanish books, textbooks, children's books, DVDs, games, etc.

Donations of English or Spanish books, games, and CDs are being accepted through April 15th. If you live in the San Ramón areas, drop-off donation boxes are located at:

·         Aromas (all locations),

·         Café Delicias,

·         Bocaditos,

·         Cruz Roja,

·         Coopenae,

·         Colegio Patriarca San José,

·         Instituto Julio Acosta,

·         Universidad de San José,

·         Colegio Científico and

·         Museo Universidad de Costa Rica.

If you would like to donate but live outside of the San Ramón area, please email to coordinate pick-up.

NOTE:  They MAY have a couple Days where they can pick up donations in San Jose!!

Proceeds will be used to advance local education and social service programs. Beneficiaries will be chosen in the next few days.

WHAT DOES THE $$ GET RAISED FOR?

The last book sale proceeds of $2,300 were split 50-50, Cruz Roja and Dogland. As I said in the request for books, all proceeds from this sale will be decided in a few days (after we finish vetting suggested organizations) but will be used to advance local education and social service programs.

UPCOMING EVENTS•TALKS•MEETINGS?

Next event is an alliance meeting centered around volunteerism. I will speak about native English speaking volunteers in local classrooms (INA, ITCR), conversation groups and upcoming teacher workshops. Others will talk about local community volunteers in Porterillos, the local orphanage and the headliner is Amanda Rabinowitz from the U. S. Peace Corps.
