Many Professionals now going to be REQUIRED to file Electronic Invoices!

The days of discounted rates with Dentists, Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Engineers and MANY other professionals (I think also included are Graphic Designers, Architects++) may be numbered as they are soon (all I've seen was "later this year") will HAVE to issue Electronic Invoices. 

How it will work is they will have a digital certificate, which is a card with a chip that allows digitally signed.


Electronic invoicing is a digital document. A person who buys the e-mail comes a detail like sending invoices ICE for phone bills. It comes along with a file that can be processed by Taxation and also print a voucher.  There are companies that offer such service. 
(WAIT!!!  Is this a SERVICE these professionals MUST BUY INTO to be in compliance??   Is there any checks and balance system in Costa Rica where NON-governmental group investigates to see if any of these type of "required businesses" are owned by family or friends of those suggesting the bills/laws???  HMMMMMM!!!)


The Tributación (tax minister/department) said that there is a wide spread tax evasion by many professionals (they say especially these groups) in Costa Rica.
