I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

GRINGO MOVIES - DVD Copies of Movies around Costa Rica


GRINGO MOVIES

Thanx to Ron I just discovered this EXCITING service!!  They make dvd’s copies of movies - new and old (sometimes they even get not released movies!!).  Most dvd’s are in English with Spanish subtitles, work on most dvd machines (I’ve found this can be a challenge with copies and older/cheaper dvd players) and deliver them to you for just 1,200-c!!!

AND, they even DELIVER to you for FREE ANYWHERE within Costa Rica*.


AMOUNT OF DVD’S NEEDED TO ORDER:  
Within much of the Central Valley:  10+ dvd minimum (depending on the location, possibly delivered right to your door BY the owners in Escazu for FREE*!!!).  
Around CR - 20+ dvd minimum (free post office delivery within CR*).


COST:  
1,200-colones/each dvd


AMOUNT OF NOTICE:  
They like 48 hours to get them copied and out the door and 1-2 days depending on the location if they’re being delivered/mailed (more time if lots of movies)


PAYMENT:  
BCR (they’ll instruct you on their bank account info) or payment upon deliver if they’re bringing it to you.
