I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

NEWCOMERS February Meeting


NEWCOMERS  Costa Rica's 
MONTHLY MEETING
(a group where English-speaking [of various levels] newcomers & old-timers women come together for social connection/activities)


WHEN:  Tuesday, February 7  -  9:30am-noon-ish

WHERE:  Museo de Arte Costarricense

LOCATION:  San Jose - East end of Sabana Park - across from Soda Tapia & Banco Nacional - near Paseo Colon.  There's plenty of free parking in front inside the park.

After coffee and announcements, enjoy a GUIDED tour of the art museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions.  

Featured will be Costa Rican performance artist 
whose show consists of 96 pieces including paintings, performance documentations, drawings, installations, video art, lithography and applied arts.  Also on display will be an exhibition of 26 philatelic collections (stamps) honoring the centennial  of aviation in Costa Rica - http://musarco.go.cr/noticia_detalle.php?id=80

While driving in to San Jose, be sure to look for the 
PEACE PARADE 
This collection of 70 fiberglass custom designed Pigeons/Doves are being displayed throughout San Jose to promote local talent & at the same time send a message of world peace, the importance of recycling, connecting, family & the protection.
