MOST POPULAR TIMES in Costa Rica for
FIREWORKS • FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Prepare your pets ahead of time - ESPECIALLY if you're not going to be there so they don't freak out or worse!!
NEW YEARS EVE - December 31
(this is an AMAZINGLY INSANE night that is MAGNIFICENT to watch!! Try to find an awesome place to watch the from!! [MY FAV is getting a room up in HotelPicoBlanco.com up in San Antonio de Escazu where ALL rooms overlook the WHOLE Valley and are only $40 and $60/night + 13% tax [I think they actually go up those nights $10 or $20]. Tell Steven, Laurie [a guy] and Lucia Vicki sends a BIG HUG!! Though welcoming in '12 was strange as in the past I found most fireworks went on for HOURS but this past New Years it was pretty much from midnight till about 12:15am. Times are a bit tough I guess)
CHRISTMAS EVE - December 24
ESPECIALLY STRONG around Midnight and for about an hour afterwards.
The WHOLE month of December
(ESPECIALLY after people get their Alguinaldo/extra months pay that's due between December 1-20. This is MEGA ANNOYING both as a human that can get a bit jumpy/sensitive and BIG TIME for your pets!!)
September 15
Costa Rica Independence Day
July 4
U.S. Independence Day
