I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

SPECIAL ENTRY: Nocturbano Zoo and Parque Zoológico y Jardín Botánico Nacional Simón Bolívar (Botanical Garden National Simon Bolivar).  You will end the tour at Parque Morazán (for those who need to park their cars around the Area there are several parking lots).

Es una oportunidad de ingresar a este rincón encantador de San José de noche y ver este espacio desde una nueva perspectiva.


El Nocturbano es un recorrido histórico/cultural a pie por San José que tiene como objetivo la apropiación del espacio público y la construcción de una cultura ciudadana. En este caso el recorrido tiene un costo de 4000 colones debido a que se estará ingresando al Parque Simón Bolivar.


Salimos del Parque Nacional a las 6pm y el recorrido terminaría en el Parque Morazán (para aquellas personas que necesitan estacionar sus autos, alrededor del Morazán existen varios parqueos).

The Nocturbano is a historical / cultural walk through San Jose that is aimed at appropriation of public space and building a culture of citizenship.
