I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

DOG POOL PARTY Fundraiser THIS SUNDAY - March 29 for Fundacion Abaca con Amor in Costa Rica

It's a UNIQUE WATER • "POOL PARTY" FUNDRAISER - for dogs!!!
Once a year the natural spring-fed lake of
 Laguito Phillips in Turrucares - Alajuela 

opens up for this SOOO FUN FUNdraiser where you can
bring your dog(s) who get to have FUN playing in the lake

to raise money for

 FUNDACION ABACA CON AMOR

Each person can only bring 3 dogs MAXIMUM

If there is a chance your dog may bite another dog or child, please bring a muzzle.

DIRECTIONS:
FROM ESCAZU•SANTA ANA
Take highway 27, leave it on Turrucares, there 3, 5 km from Turrucares town, it is located in cebadilla de Turrucares, the entrance is on the left.

FROM SAN JOSE • GRECIA:
You leave highway 132 on Manolos, turn right and take the road to Atenas, in La Garita Soccer field turn left, you wiil get Turrucares town , turn right after the railroad , it is 3,5km, the entrance is on the left. •Atenas • 

FROM ATENAS:
From Atenas you can get there in two ways Highway 27. leave it on Turrucares, there 3, 5 km from Turrucares town, it is located in cebadilla de Turrucares, the entrance is on the left. Old Road: turn right and take the road to Atenas, in La Garita Soccer field turn left, you wiil get Turrucares town , turn right after the railroad , it is 3,5km, the entrance is on the left.


 DIRECTIONS COMING:
500 meters•5 blocks Sur•South de la estacion del ferrocarril
Cebadilla, Alajuela, Costa Rica

VISIT LAGUITO AT OTHER TIMES FOR

•  Big natural spring water pool (the water comes from a springs) 
 
•  Smaller shallow pool for kids
•  Hike to the main source - springs
•  Small "soda" with a few selections but it's ok to bring your own picnic!


•  Camping (pets are welcome to camp also - just not be in the water except for this event)
