INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING THE FREE "VIBER" APP,  ARE BELOW:

Viber-to-Viber calls and messages are still totally free. 
The basic Viber service, Viber-to-Viber calls and messages, is absolutely free!   Viber uses your 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi internet connection to allow you to connect and share with friends and family freely, wherever they may be!

How do I make a free call from my iPhone? If the contact you want to call exists in your phone’s contact list:
 

1. Open Viber
2. Open the contact list
3. Select the contact you would like to call (Only contacts with the Viber badge can be called for free)
4. Select Free Call

If the contact you want to call does not exist in your phone’s contact list:
 

1. Open Viber
2. Open the contact list
3. Select the  icon
4. Add the contact to your device
5. Go back to the Viber contact list and select the contact you would like to call (Only contacts with the Viber badge can be called for free)
6. Select Free Call

Viber setup for iPhone

1. After installing Viber from the App Store, find and open the application on your device
2. Select Continue on the Welcome screen
3. Viber will request access to your phone’s address book. Select Allow
4. Select your country from the dropdown menu and enter your phone number
5. You will receive an SMS message with your Viber access code
6. Enter the access code in the Viber setup screen and selectEnter
7. Enter your information to login

If you have not received an SMS message with your four-digit access code, use the automatic callback option to receive your code by telephone call.  Our automated system will call the number you would like to register to Viber and read back the four-digit code to you.
 
Important note: This option is available for use once every 24 hours.
​Please prepare to write down the access code.

To receive your access code via automatic callback, please follow the instructions:
 

1. Open Viber
2. Follow the setup instructions
3. If your access code does not arrive within 60 seconds, select the automatic callback option, usually indicated by a button or link called ​"No Code?" or "If you do not receive your access code within 60 seconds, click here"​ (Note that this option will only appear after 60 seconds)
4. Confirm the number you entered to register to Viber and selectGet Code

1. You will receive a phone call and your code will be played back to you by an automated system
2. Write down the code and enter it into the access code field in the Viber registration screen

Uninstall and re-install Viber (iPhone)Some issues you may experience with Viber will require you to uninstall the application and then re-install it to resolve the problem. Luckily, the process is simple! Follow the step-by-step instructions below.
 
 

1. Find the Viber icon on your home screen
2. Tap and hold the Viber icon until it begins to jiggle
3. When the ‘X’ appears on the top right-hand corner, tap it

You have now uninstalled Viber from your iPhone. Now for the re-install…
 

1. Restart your device
2. Download Viber from the App Store
3. Sync it to your iPhone to install

Changing iPhone notification settingsViber requires the activation of push notifications for optimal performance. Push notifications let you know when you have received a message or call and when your friends have joined Viber through audio and visual alerts.

When you register to Viber, you will be asked for permission to receive push notifications from Viber. You can control if and how you receive push notifications from Viber on iPhone through the settings through your device Notification Center.

You can access the Notification Center by swiping your screen down or by:

1. Selecting the settings icon 
2. Selecting Notification Center

 


From the Notification Center:

1. Choose the notification settings that you prefer. There are three types of notifications that you can receive from Viber through your iPhone:

 
  

• Alerts/Banners – Alerts appear as popup windows in the center of your screen and require an action in order to make them disappear. Banners roll down from the top of your screen and disappear quickly and automatically.
• Badges – Appear as a small number on the Viber icon. These indicate the number of messages waiting for you, calls you have missed and conversation notifications.
• Sounds – Audible notification sounds for incoming messages / "Contact joined Viber" notifications*
