I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! Expo Feria Nacional de Palmito y Mini Vegetales


III Expo Feria Nacional de Palmito y Mini Vegetales

The community of Tucurrique will host the III Expo Feria Nacional de Palmito y Mini Vegetales from March 16 to 19.

The community is in the Canton/City of Jimenez in the Province/State of Cartago.

Besides enjoying unparalleled scenic beauty, visitors can buy various products made of palm and mini vegetables good priced good for traditional Easter recipes, and time to enjoy other activities such as dances, bullfights, exhibition and sale of crafts, concerts, cultural performances and mountain bike competition, as well as guided tours of thirteen hectares, called the "path of palms"

Visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the place as well as various products made from palm and mini vegetables, which can be purchased cheaply. There will be many recreational activities such as dances, bullfights, exhibition and sale of crafts, concerts, cultural performances and mountain bike competition, as well as guided tours of 13 hectares, called the "Path of the Palm".

The Centro Agrícola Cantona, the organizers, said that the purpose of the event is to promote the consumption of palmito at the national level. There are about 100 palmito producers in the area.
