I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

CAMPING GEAR • EQUIPMENT - Where to Buy & Sell it in Costa Rica

Some of the BEST DEALS • CHEAPEST places I've found to buy

 (it's not easy to find since there aren't a lot of places TO camp)

Prices are BEST JUST BEFORE the Christmas holidays till around Samana Santa/Easter which is basically their "summer" when kids are off school for about 2 or so months)
(I'm looking at a newspaper insert from April '12 and they have specials featuring
Sleeping Bags for just $10
Coolers starting at $36
Folding Chairs for $8
King size Air Mattresses for $24+.
I bought some little 2 person Pup Tents ages ago for under $10!

Walmart carries many things year-round.  Moderate prices.
