With gasoline in Costa Rica at nearly $6 a gallon - many people might be seeking a cheaper way to get around. 

RIDE SHARE - aka RIDESHARE • CARPOOLING

can be a cool option and LOTS cheaper

(PLEASE people - don't be a cheapo - CONTRIBUTE towards gas, parking and wear and tear!!!  Do YOU remember how expensive owning a car was???)

See if Hostels have a Bulletin Board and post what you're offering - and/or on their Facebook Pages!!!  They may only allow those seeking rides to post if they're their clients.

COLLEGES
Students are OFTEN seeking rides - especially in Costa Rica since MANY younger people don't have cars.



 TAXI's and Tourism Van Drivers
MANY taxi's and Tourism Van Drivers have to "Dead Head" one way (go one direction with NO clients).  I think someone would be WISE to start a page•group where they could post GREATLY Discounted rides for those trips - cheaper than the shuttles.
If you know a driver - you might suggest that idea to him and if I find such a page I'll share it here!  It's MUCH NEEDED!!
