ABOUT THE LIVING LIFE IN COSTA RICA BLOG

I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.
VOLUNTEER TO HELP:
Better yet - do you have extra time on your hands & looking for a volunteer project? Since this blog is a labor of love & RARELY does anyone share a donation (even though MANY have said how much it's helped them), I could REALLY use help updating info. Spanish speakers ESPECIALLY welcome since my VicLish can be somewhat limited at times!!

DONATE:
Has my blog helped in any way? Helped find something•brought more EASE? More exposure or business?
I welcome you to show YOUR appreciation for my efforts!
ANY size DONATION is APPRECIATED!
(see below other ways to show your appreciation)
The easiest way is with PAYPAL - Attn: LivingLifeInCostaRica@gmail.com
(you do NOT need to have a PayPal account to do this - just a credit or debit card)
ADD INFORMATION:
Do YOU have/know of a Business•Event•News•Place•Things 4 Sale•Rent to add? Email:
LivingLifeInCostaRica@gmail.com

OTHER WAYS TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION FOR THIS BLOG

• APPLE LAPTOP - Do you have a Laptop you're not using? Mine recently broke so I'm using a lender. Must be new enough to run current Skypes & have an SDCard slot.
• Amazon.com or GoDaddy.com Credit•Gift Certificate (attn: SarongGoddess@gmail.com)
• Something else to share?? A gift certificate or invite for your business? I'm open!! (at times I'll add other things here that I'm seeking)

Ionized Alkaline Electron-Rich Water, Live Blood Cell Analysis and Ionic Foot Detox in Costa Rica with Zoli Hargitai

Zoli is my "Water Dealer"!!!

THE BENEFITS OF
WATER
with Zoli Hargitai

I am a Clinical Nutritionist, practicing what I preach for the last 30 years and it shows.

I have been drinking Ionized Alkaline Electron-rich Water for 5 years and I am very passionate on the subject and would love to share information on this to people who are interested in improving their health.

I will give a short but very fascinating class water about the benefits of consuming ionized alkaline water and answer questions and I will have many visible & hands-on experiences comparing the ionized alkaline water with the acidic tap water or the even more acidic bottled water and I will have samples of water to taste.

I also have been training regularly for over 41 years including 27 years of martial arts, I am also a certified personal trainer and a yoga instructor.

I also do Live Blood Cell Analysis with my Darkfield Microscope as well as Ionic Foot Detox.

IONIZED ALKALINE ELECTRON-RICH WATER

So Much More than Clean Water ...

Clean Water is Not Enough
Reverse Osmosis, distilled water and most bottled waters are devoid of naturally occurring minerals. They are acidic and hard to absorb and rob minerals from the body.

Powerful Antioxidant Effect
Your IonWays ionizer will produce a super abundant supply of powerful antioxidants in each glass.

Superior Hydration
Ionized water has a reduced molecular cluster size and a negative charge, hydrating you up to six times better.

More Oxygen
As water is ionized, it provides you with a rich source of extra oxygen - almost double the amount of tap or bottled water!

Improve your pH balance
Water from an IonWays ionizer will help restore your body to its natural pH balance - boosting your vitality.

Detoxifies your System
Ionized water more effectively flushes  acidic toxins from your body.

Here are the 4 Ionizing Water Machines that Zoli is selling:

IonWays Athena

$2,200

IonWays Melody/Isis JP 104
$1,595

IonWays Venus
$1,195

1st in the world -
Alkapod - the Portable Ionizer

$150

Vitamin C SHOWER FILTER effectively REMOVES Chlorine!!!!
This is cool as you can still put your Shower Massager on it!

LIVE BLOOD CELL ANALYSIS

Live Blood Cell Analysis differs from traditional medical blood testing in which preserved blood is sent to a laboratory for an “autopsy” and analyzed for chemical composition and cell counts.  Live blood work involves magnifying a single drop of live blood, taken from a fingertip prick, to 1000 times or more under a Darkfield Microscope.  The cells of the blood live for at least 20 minutes and, with the aid of a video camera, are observed on a monitor, revealing certain subtleties.

Live Blood Cell Analysis can reveal distortions of red blood cells which reflect nutritional status, especially low levels of iron, protein, vitamin B, folic acid and fatty acids.  Incomplete or delayed digestion of fats and proteins can also be observed.  In addition, liver stress and undesirable bacterial and fungal life forms may be revealed.  Signs of yeast, parasites and hormonal imbalances can also be detected.

The live blood thus acts as an educational “feedback mechanism”, motivating people to improve their diet, perhaps with the addition of nutritional supplements.  Positive changes in the structure of the blood cells can be viewed over time, usually a period of months, as improved nutrition impacts the blood.

The cost of the analysis ranges from $50-$200 in the USA or Canada but here at Microscopic Association of Costa Rica, we’re offering an INTRODUCTORY SPECIAL to our 1st TIME CUSTOMERS at participating locations of JUST 15,000 Colones.

Gail Nystrom's Costa Rica Humanitarian Foundation Update - July 2010

July 2010
Gail Nystrom's
COSTA RICAN HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION
UPDATE

Here's the latest/July 2010 update/list of
THINGS GAIL NYSTROM with the
Costa Rican HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION
can USE HELP WITH:

The Humanitarian Foundation is in the last month of their busiest time of the year with their Summer Volunteers who have been busy refurbishing houses, fixing streets, making Gail an office in La Carpio, helping sick people, working in Puerto Viejo de Limon fixing up the Children’s Center and the Elementary School and LOTS MORE!!!

Thanx to Jeff Fischer who donated a computer that is being used for teaching the older children and women.  He’s doing a program called
Got You Covered” which is
COLLECTING USED BEDDING
for CRHF's Bunk Bed Program
so they could use
Twin Sheets (or any size), blankets and pillows.
Donations can be dropped off in
Escazu - Gracias Costa Rica’s location in Escazu (8-378-6679)
or contact Gail.

Jeff also donated a Video Camera so they’ll be creating different projects.

They have a PR person that they got a good deal on but they still need 2 airline tickets - airline tickets from Chicago.  PERHAPS YOU HAVE A SURPLUS OF FREQUENT FLIER MILES YOU’D LIKE TO DONATE!!  NO COST TO YOU!!!  They could use some assistance on the expense of him staying with a Host Tico Family (who will provide all his meals as well ($400 x 2 months) x 2 (homestay lady), or towards his $1000 fee.  Want to see them grow / more good spread - HELP!!!

COCONUT OIL • ACIETE DE COCO - Where to find COCONUT OIL in Costa Rica - Edible, Organic, Cold-Pressed and Virgin Coconut Oil

WHERE TO FIND EDIBLE COCONUT OIL IN COSTA RICA
I’m clueless on any sort of grade, etc. - just sharin’ info that I’ve gathered so far on Where to Buy COCONUT OIL in Costa Rica (and Panama).  I’d LOVE it if you find any other resources or find out what grade these are, you’d share them back with me so I can enhance the list (LivingLifeInCostaRica@gmail.com).

Some Macrobiotics have them but few can tell you how it's processed or if it's even edible (perhaps you can find their resource???!!).

Maybe these businesses below don't have the edible grade BUT, MAYBE they MAY know where to find it!!

OR, what about contacting restaurants that seem to prepare lots of Caribbean type food or vegetarian food???

WHAT COCONUT OIL IS GOOD FOR

Here's a GREAT site that lists "101 Uses for Coconut Oil":

I'm now using Coconut Oil for many things so I'm excited to find a decent priced Organic Cold-Pressed coconut oil!

TOOTHPASTE:  My main thing is making my Toothpaste which is just Baking Soda, Therapeutic-Grade (ingestible) Essential Oils (I ONLY use doTerra [which I'm now selling - Account #489996 - SarongGoddess) - Peppermint for flavor, Melaluca (aka Tea Tree) to help my gums and sometimes I add some Lemon and a few other things depending on what's going on in my mouth/gums plus the key ingredient is Coconut Oil!  On top of the fact it's WAYYY cheaper than store bought toothpaste - but this is actually good FOR you!!

FACE CREAM:  It's the ONLY "face cream" I'm now using and it's AMAZING how the wrinkles are smoothing out.  Plus I'm using it on my whole bod!!

ATHLETES FOOT:  You can also use Coconut oil as a traditional topical ointment as it is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal and you don't have any worries about chemicals causing long-term damage to your body's systems.  I've just started using it on my feet with some Melaluca/Tea Tree and my Athletes Foot is FINALLY clearing up after YEARS (ahhhh all the bacteria we're exposed to living in the tropics!!).

BROWNIES:  Last week I used Coconut Oil instead of regular oil in my Ghiradelli Triple Chocolate Brownies (from PriceSmart)!!  Everyone went CRAZY over them!!

SMOOTHIES:  I'm adding some in my Smoothies and that helps the taste pop more plus I know it's good for me!!!!

MASSAGE OIL:  This is really the best massage oil providing the perfect rubbing traction (not to slippery) and do not stain. And of course could be consumed by spoonful...

HAIR TREATMENT:  Great for the hair too.

COOKING:  You can use Coconut oil for cooking as it enhances the flavors of the cooked food.

WEIGHT LOSS:  Because it is a medium-chain triglyceride, it digests easily and actually helps you to lose weight, because it is digested and turned into energy, not stored as fat.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@

COCONUT OIL is also GREAT for your
PETS • DOGS and CATS:
