English Speaking TAXI DRIVERS in Costa Rica
Here the start of my list of OFFICIAL RED TAXI DRIVERS that I have used. Most of these speak some amount of English and the one’s that don’t, MY experience has been they are at least pretty trustworthy/reliable. Right now the list is predominately geared towards the Escazu area BUT it’s expanding (with YOUR HELP!?!?!) so keep checking back with my Living Life In Costa Rica site.
"MARIA"/METER ON!!!!!!!!!!!
I can hook you up with a GOOD, reliable English-speaking driver that can take you WHEREVER you need to go in Costa Rica!! We can help you with a taxi, van or even a bus!

Apple Macintosh Repair Technicians and Parts around Costa Rica (old)
APPLE / MACINTOSH REPAIR TECHNICIANS IN/AROUND COSTA RICA
Do you know any other MACINTOSH / APPLE TECHNICIANS to add to this list?
http://LivingLifeInCostaRica.blogspot.com/2012/01/mac-apple-repair-technicians-get-listed.html

I don't care what the rest of the world's statistics are as based on MY observations - a LARGE percent of people I know living in or visiting Costa Rica have Apple's / Macintosh's - yet finding someone to repair it or hardware or software at a reasonable and in a timely manner and finding things for your Mac can be QUITE challenging and EXPENSIVE!!
So I've started a list of resources!! If you know anyone/anything else to add - have them go to the link at the bottom of this page for the questionnaire.

A Reasonably Priced Solution to help your water be Virus-free, Chlorine-free & Bacteria-free
I feel I have found a reasonably priced solution to help MY MEGA chlorinated water problem & I'm sharin' this info with you!!
They say it makes the water Virus-free, Chlorine-free, Bacteria-free.
it’s called
CHLORFREE
Their website says:
It was first developed and applied for use in removing the chlorine from pools and spas.
The city of Flamingo had very polluted water and started using Chlorfree in 1999 and it now has one of the best, cleanest drinking waters of any municipalidad in CR that is on city water.
Our “Egg” is a submersible Ionizing Water Purification Egg that when put into a 5 gallon bottle of regular tap or polluted water, electrolysis produces positive ions via a copper, silver and carbon process which kills all living organisms within 24 hours - the chlorine naturally evaporates (chlorine is very dangerous for the body yet it is very prevalent in many cities water systems both in Costa Rica and around the world) and the water is healthy for the body.
It has been demonstrated that our process eliminates all bacteria, germs and viruses from Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Fecal Coliforms, Pseudomonas, Legionella, Chlorine and fluoride.
How the process works is you put one Egg in your water vessel, let it sit covered with a light cotton cloth (to absorb the chlorine) for 24 hours, swirl it around and you have pure ionize chlorine-free drinking water. Immediately put your second Egg in another vessel so it is ready when you've finished the first one.
One Egg purifies 1,825 gallons of water a year and unlike most systems out there that cost hundreds of dollars, at $49.95 per Egg, Chlorfree is affordable for almost everyone and it does not require the need for electricity, constant maintenance or special plumbing or those expensive machines.
Chlorfree has been approved in CR, U.S. & 40 governments around world.
For bigger jobs (especially where algae is involved) like pools, jacuzzis, spas, fountains or aquariums, as well as water tanks (good for your shower) - even diesel fuel - we have a “Capsule” ($149) that clears up to 500 gallons a day (if using in a swimming pool it processes 5,000 gallons a day). The chlorine just dissipates.
Virus-free, Chlorine-free, Bacteria-free - CHLORFREE.

WIND SURFING / KITE SURFING in Costa Rica
The WESTERN (Tilaran) end of LAKE ARENAL in Costa Rica offers worldclass WINDSURFING / KITESURFING (WIND SURFING / KITE SURFING) comparable to Italy's Lake Garda & the Columbia River Gorge & has several windsurfing operations. It has been classified by experts & champions of this discipline as "one of the 5 best spots in the world to practice windsurfing." (http://TicoWind.com/CostaRica/arenal_windandwater.htm said it's because of "easterly trade winds blowing across the Caribbean are reinforced by the strong north-easterly flow from the Gulf of Mexico. The winds are funneled through the mountains of northern Costa Rica & reach maximum strength at the western end of the lake" - where they are located). The regularity, speed & intensity of the winds found here are ideal to practice this sport, especially for beginners (http://groups.google.com/group/tomrosenbergerauthor/web/adventure-water-sports?pli=1)
