(NOTE this is NOT their "official" site. I'm just sharing easy to find DETAILED information)
Newcomers is a social group - open to English-speaking (of various levels) women living in Costa Rica full time or part time. It's made up of newcomers and old-timers (the majority of the ladies have been living in Costa Rica for years). It's a great place to make new friends and participate in a variety of fun activities with their many Special Interest Groups that take place throughout the month.
It's NOT currently much of a Welcome Wagon type setting (where a newbie is matched up with someone in their area and/or of similar interest), so it's up to YOU to get out of this group whatever YOUR needs are like attending the monthly meetings - or getting involved in the Special Interest Groups.
Looking to Carpool to a meeting, seeking things? Post it on their private member Facebook page.
WHAT TYPE OF WOMEN ARE MEMBERS:
MY observation of the group is there are many gals in Costa Rica for their husbands job - for 2 or so years (some have kids), many are retired (though not as many as the Women's Club of Costa Rica - LivingLifeInCostaRica.blogspot.com/2014/03/WomensClubCR.html) & some are professional gals or entrepreneurs.
The majority seem to live in the Metropolitan Central Valley.
