NEED SOMETHING OVERNIGHTED TO THE U.S. from Costa Rica??
For a few years I'd been using DHL as they appeared to be cheaper -
BUT - when I called
to get a price from them and Federal Express on January 7, 2014 - there was a WORLD of DIFFERENCE - on a COUPLE levels.
SO WHO QUOTED THE CHEAPEST PRICES FROM COSTA RICA TO THE U.S.?
HANDS DOWN -
FEDERAL EXPRESSFed Ex quoted me "just" $50
DHL quoted me $79 (YUP - $79 fricken $s [vs Fed Ex's $50] to send just 1 page!!!)

WHO DELIVERS YOUR COSTA RICA DOCUMENTS TO THE U.S. FASTEST?
If you get your document to them
BEFORE NOON - Fed Ex said it would get there OVERNIGHT - in ONE day if I got it (though they failed to tell me the noon part when I called
in for the quote - but then again - I hadn't asked!! I just ASSUMED that it was like
in the states - it went out once a day after 5ish or so - oh well!!).
DHL quoted me 2 DAYS delivery time!!!
(what happened DHL?? In the old days, you seemed to have the monopoly in Costa Rica!)

So who gets MY VOTE????
Needless to say, I went with my regular old time FAV
FED EX!!!!
Fed Ex has 2 locations in Costa Rica
The MAIN one is in "Heredia" - about a kilometer East of the Cariari Mall
and
San Jose - ON Paseo Colon - about 80 meters East of Sabana Park - on your right (WARNING - parking SUCKS there!!! There's really only room for 1 car to park - vs the 4 spots that are there but blocked by a tree).
