I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

ATENAS Charity CHILI COOK OFF - 2013 - Costa Rica

WHEN:  Sunday  -  February 10, 2013 (the Sunday AFTER the Super Bowl)  -  9am-4pm

WHERE:  Atenas - Quint Roma Vista, Barrio Mercedes*

   

WHAT TO EXPECT:
This year’s Atenas Charity Chili Cook Off event will be the biggest yet with an anticipated attendance of over 1,000 people. There will be an array of activities that you can enjoy while sampling upward to 30 types of chili. There will be food and drink sales, event items being sold, raffle tickets for some great prizes, a 50/50 raffle ticket (the winning ticket collects half of the dollars collected), music, dancing, bull-riding, etc.
A good time is in order!


HOW THIS EVENT IS GIVING BACK:
By attending, you are helping to support Hogar de Vida, a local Atenas children’s home that supports up to 35 children ages birth to 10 years old. We need upward to 75 volunteers on Event Day – can you help? This is a great volunteer experience and with your help, we can make it a great experience for all those attending. Volunteer needs include: set-up, tear-down, signage, entrance gate, parking, booth sales, food servers, etc. If you can help
