I literally JUST walked in the door from an AMAZING experience!!
I applied for a new U.S. Passport (my pages were full from all my Visa Runs [plus extra trips to Nicaragua - just because]) at 11am on Wednesday December 31.
They said it would take about 10 business days & since it was a holiday week when a LARGE % of the employees were off - I figured it would take longer.
I received my email that it was in on . . . Wednesday - January 8 - just 4 business days later!!!!
I went to the embassy today to pick it up. I decided to leave my bag in my friends car so I didn't have to check it in, check all my electronic gizmos, get scanned, etc., & from the minute I put my hand on the door to walk into the first entrance (security), waited for the 2 guys in front of me, got my passport & signed it, they punched the 2 holes in it (above), ask the gal how her Christmas was - I was OUT the last exit door in . . . 10 MINUTES!!!!
(Goddess I LOVE [& often miss] EFFICIENCY!!!)
Just sharin' a POSITIVE experience in CR!!!

DAMN!!
I thought it seemed heavier & I just counted my pages & sure enough - they gave me the "free" extra pages even though I swear I SPECIFICALLY checked off that I did NOT want them.
Hmmm - MAYBE this is a sign to sometime in the next few years I'm going to be elsewhere!! (maybe it's a sign that [in the NOT too near future] I'll be traveling all over the world for awhile!!!
Hey - I'm open to that!!)
