I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

A new music festival that will bring world class musicians and rising stars together on one stage has been born in the southern pacific zone of Costa Rica.

The first annual Best Fest promises to be an amazing event featuring musical genres such as reggae, latin, jazz, rock, blues, and more performed by bands from Costa Rica and the United States. The Best Fest invites audiences of all ages to experience live music in one of the most beautiful and exciting settings available in Costa Rica.


The 2013 lineup includes many national acts such as Ojo de Buey, Cocofunka, Fusion Funk San Jose and Infibeat and combines them with international bands such as The Pimps of Joytime, The Werks, Van Ghost, Mckenzie Eddy, JamiSun and Ben Fagan and the Holy City Hooligans.


COSTA BALLENA*
The beach side venue is bordered by beautiful pasture land and jungle covered mountains making for a breathtaking location that offers the opportunity to enjoy music while being surrounded by natural beauty.

The Costa Ballena region is growing in popularity among travelers. Locals have long known that the area is the most beautiful in Costa Rica but tourist seldom visited because the infrastructure was lacking. Now there is good access and enough hotels, restaurants and other services to accommodate the influx of visitors Best Fest will draw to Costa Ballena.
