PO BOXES in Costa Rica - Correos Clerks Accepting Payments for PO•Postal Boxes

PO Box 2013 PAYMENTS
Lock in the old price!!!  (10,000 - vs 20,000!!)

Correos de Costa Rica is now accepting PAYMENTS for your Postal•PO Box holders and if you pay for the 2013 year BY January 31, 2013, you will get to pay the SAME 10,000-c/$20.60ish price - BUT if you fail to pay said box BY January 31, 2013 - you will get to pay the NEW PRICE of 20,000-c (around $41.20).

Also, if you have NOT paid for your PO Box BY March 31, 2013 (at the 20,000-c rate if you fail to pay it after January 31, '13) - you WILL LOOSE your box!

The price of Postal Box is the SAME at various stations throughout the country (vs bank Safety Deposit boxes which vary by bank LOCATION)!

ADDITIONAL BOXES HAVE BEEN ADDED
NEW • ADDITIONAL boxes are currently in service throughout the country.  More boxes will be available starting April 1, 2013 (from those people that have not paid to renew their PO Box).

NEW INCREASED RATES
The box rate has been INCREASED to 20,000-c ($40ish).  It's double the old rate but evidentially rates hadn't increased in MANY years!

AMCostaRica.com reported on November 19, 2012 that Individuals need a cédula or other valid identification (hmmmm - does that mean that a non-resident can no longer get a P.O. Box?  Or is a Passport good enough??).

Corporate clients need to have a CURRENT copy of their Personaría Juridica of the company and a copy for the initial purchase (?????), the agency said.
