Every other Sunday or so it seems Warner Rojas and/or his wife Thessa Rienhart or an associate lead 4-6+ hour Hiking Tours around Costa Rica for people of various levels.

The price typically ranges from 10,000-12,000 colones per person ($20-$24-ish) and that includes
transportation from/back to their
meeting place in San Jose (near Teatro Nacional), your guide, tea or coffee along the hike.
To reserve your space you'll need to make a 5,000-c deposit.

Walkers and Hikers
is a part of the Women's Club of Costa Rica. Their description is:
"Have you been just itching to put on your hiking shoes and explore the hills and valleys around San José? Places like Poás, San Isidro de Heredia, Termales de Bosque, Barva Volcano, Santa Ana and beyond? Well, you are not alone. There are lots of like-minded woman who are eager to meet you at the trail head and explore this gorgeous country on foot.
In August they did a 5 mile hike into the crater lake at Barva and later stopped at a roadside restaurant where at least one of the hikers experienced “the best casado I’ve eaten in Costa Rica!”
Contact Michale for more information and to be put on the distribution list for future walks/hikes. And if you would like to lead a hike let them know (I believe these are free hikes).

Has a Hiking Group that meets monthly to "enjoy fellowship in God's creation."
Hikes alternate between easy and more challenging, and take place Saturdays or Sundays.
