I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

La empresa Santa Elena Preserve y el Comité de Cultura de La Cruz han visto la necesidad de realizar actividades donde se rescaten valores ambientales, culturales, artísticos , sociales tratando de esa manera crear conciencia sobre los problemas que aquejan al planeta que desde hace millones de años nos alberga y brinda condiciones optimas para el desarrollo de cada ser humano.

Por esta razón Santa Elena y Comité de Cultura celebra el FESTIVAL DE LAS TORTUGAS, evento que cuenta con presentaciones de artistas en distintas áreas, talleres para niños y jóvenes y cine foros; todo esto con la intención de reunir a personas que compartan el mismo sentimiento, conservar el medio ambiente y encontrar la manera de motivar a más personas con esta iniciativa. Y atravez de estas actividades promover un Desarrollo Sustentable que incluya procesos como preservación, conservación y protección de los recursos naturales con el fin de brindar mejores condiciones actuales y futuras a las generaciones venideras. 

Santa Elena Preserve Company and the Committee on Culture of the Cross have seen the need for activities , to preserve environmental, cultural , artistic , social, thereby trying to raise awareness of the problems facing the planet for millions of years our host and provides optimal conditions for the development of every human being.

For this reason Santa Elena and Culture Committee FESTIVAL celebrates TURTLES , an event that features performances by artists in different areas , workshops for children and youth and film forums , all with the intention of bringing together people who share the same feeling , preserve the environment and find ways to encourage more people to this initiative. And right through these activities promote Sustainable Development which includes processes such as preservation, conservation and protection of natural resources in order to provide better current and future generations to come.
