I (Vicki Skinner - aka "THE Sarong Goddess") created this blog in 2007 to share DETAILED Finds•Lists•Info•Events•Experiences to help bring more EASE to people living in, visiting or thinking of moving to Costa Rica since DETAILS are NOT easy to find!
I’m NOT an expert (an "expert" 2 ME knows 101%-NOT me). I believe in sharin info•helping where I can! And with over 2,200 entries, so some things might be out of date, so if you find old info PLEASE help each other by getting the updated info & sharing it with me to revise. At least you have some basic info to get you started.

MEET at:  6:45am on the South side of Teatro Nacional  
CONOCER a las:   6:45 am en el lado sur del Teatro Nacional.

WHERE YOU’LL HIKE UP TO • DONDE CAMINATA HASTA:  Jerico - Casa Mata - en Desamparados a la InterAmericanaThe walk begins in the town of Jericho in Desamparados and then we will take back roads to get to an area called Musco Verde and then continue to the village of Patio de Agua for the end result in the Panamerican Highway South. The walk takes place on roads and trails will be muddy in parts. The weather is mostly cool, very nice.
Donde CAMINATA HASTA: Jerico - Casa Mata - Desamparados en un La Interamericana
El paseo comienza en la ciudad de Jericó de Desamparados y luego vamos a tomar carreteras secundarias para llegar a una zona llamada Musco Verde y luego continuar hasta el pueblo de Patio de Agua para el resultado final en la carretera Panamericana Sur. La caminata se realiza sobre caminos y senderos será barro en algunas partes. El clima es mayormente frío y muy agradable.


CHALLENGE LEVEL :  This guided walk is for INTERMEDIATE Hikers
Nivel de desafío: Este paseo guiado es para excursionistas INTERMEDIOS
DISTANCE • DISTANCIA:  12km

DURATION • DURACION: 4-5 hours • horas

AFTER THE WALK:  We will go to one of the restaurants in the area to eat and drink  •  Después de la caminata: Vamos a ir a uno de los restaurantes de la zona para comer y beber.

LANGUAGE • IDIOMA :  English and Español

COST: 10,000 colones per person includes guide, transportation and coffee.
COSTO:  10,000 por persona e incluye guía, transporte y café.

RECOMMENDATIONS. For this walk is advisable to wear walking shoes, light trousers (non-denim), food, water, backpack/daypack, hat and sunscreen. Bring an extra set of clothes to change into since it will be pretty muddy.
RECOMENDACIONES. Para este paseo es recomendable llevar zapatos para caminar, pantalones ligeros (no mezclilla), comida, agua, mochila / mochila, gorra y protector solar. Lleve un juego extra de ropa para cambiarse, ya que será muy turbia.

NOTE :  If you make a reservation and are not able to honor it, PLEASE notify them immediately as they will have a Wait List and please arrive on time.
