Located just ½ a block from the main street/heart of Moyogalpa where you can find everything you'll find on the island (hotels [for those friends you don't want to stay with you], Restaurants and bars, 3 Banks, clothes and footwear, hardware store/feriteria, cyber cafe, etc.) and 100 meters/1 block from the ferry port (the whole village is only a few blocks wide) in a peaceful, safe neighborhood.
This rustic little Nica-style 3 bedrooms (2 main rooms and one small
room), plus additional open space, 2 small Bathroom, UN-furnished (NO
appliances - nada) house can be used for your home and/or your office!
Long Living room, spacious open kitchen. Lots of greenery surrounds
this home and the Backyard even has fruit trees (coconut, oranges,
plantain, avocados). There is a gate surrounding the whole property and
bars on the window for security (though Ometepe is overall a pretty safe
island & this area is pretty quite). Screens on windows.
Uncovered parking for 3 cars (2 separate gate entrances on either side
of the house). Electricity is 220v and 110v. Cable TV (included in the
rent). Internet and Telephone Line can easily be installed (YOU apply
& pay. If you want a phone line, a separate Phone Deposit is
required which is returned after the last bill has come after you move
out which can take a few months. Phone will not have international
coverage [that's where Skype & MagicJack, etc. are perfect]).
Since the owner is giving such a great low price, YOU are welcome to make improvements but YOU pay for them. The cupboards are that pressed board and frayed. What YOU can do is take the fronts off and put some curtains there to cover everything up (I've shared some pictures of what I mean. On a budget? Use small pieces of bamboo like I've shown in some pictures below that I've used for curtains). The kitchen's so large you can make an "Island" to use for preparing and put some stools around for eating at! Get CREATIVE!!!! I've customized most of the places I've lived because I consider wherever I'm at at the moment my home and I want it to be nice - even when I haven't had much $$.
